King Stereo One International Sound
A legendary sound system from Zimbabwe with a legacy spanning more than two decades. Founded by the late William Sinclair (Jah B) and David Williams (Daddie De-Stress), King Stereo One has been a driving force in shaping Zimbabwe’s modern music culture.
With a dynamic lineup of selectors — including Jah Shoes, Spectra, Abisha Palmer, Culture Flingstone, Ricky Dangerous, and Bully Baby — King Stereo One became a household name and a symbol of Zimbabwe’s vibrant entertainment scene.
Spectra, one of the crew’s standout selectors, first discovered his passion for sound system culture in the 1990s, attending teen events and clashes at Harare’s top venues. That same passion continues to inspire the creativity and energy that drives King Stereo One today.
Blending reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeat with unmatched skill, the sound system has captivated audiences nationwide. After a brief hiatus, King Stereo One International Sound has returned stronger than ever, with original member Jah Shoes at the helm. Together, the team honors their storied legacy while embracing innovation and fresh ideas, reclaiming their place as a powerhouse in the music industry.
Dedicated to preserving Zimbabwe’s cultural heritage while pushing new boundaries, King Stereo One International Sound remains committed to uniting and entertaining audiences across borders.
